Research agreement with the Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien (IWM) and Welten Institute of the Open University of the Netherlands

UNESCO Chair on Personalized and Adaptive Distance Education (PADE) of the Swiss Distance University of Applied Sciences (DUAS) signs research agreement with the Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien (IWM) and Welten Institute of the Open University of the Netherlands.

November 2017, the UNESCO Chair on Personalized and Adaptive Distance Education (PADE), lead by Prof. Dr. Per Bergamin, announces the signing of a collaboration agreement with Dr. Yvonne Kammerer from the Leibniz-Institut für Wissenmedien (IWM) and the Welten Institute of the Open University of the Netherlands for further development of joint research activities on lexical ratings of emotional texts. These research activities are conducted in the framework of the COST Action E-READ (http://ereadcost.eu).

The research collaboration between the three universities will result in a better understanding of the role of emotions while reading literary texts and the publication of a database of subjectively rated emotional short texts. The conducted studies will lead to the development of innovative methods and tools for adaptive learning. The collaboration is intended to lead to research projects with a third-party funding.
